Hello! My name is Kartik and I am a 4th year Biochemistry (Hons) student. I started this club in the hopes of building a stronger microbiology student community on campus and get students more involved with this field.

Hello! I'm Michelle and in my fourth her year of a Bsc Honours Co-op. I went into microbiology as I've always been fascinated by disease but never had an interest in medicine and through co-op realized that I wanted a future in research.

Hello! My name is Charan and I in my 5th and final year of my undergraduate degree. I am majoring in genetics and minoring in both chemistry and music. I am also the 2020-2021 Media Design Chair for MiSC which means I’m the one making those posters you see for our events. Im also heavily involved in the organization of our giveaways and faculty hoodie orders (coming soon!). As I finish my degree I hope to pursue medicine at the Max Rady Faculty of Medicine and hopefully find someone to take over my role in MiSC. Though we can’t meet in person I look forward to getting to know all of you through our upcoming events!

I chose genetics as my area of study as I find it fascinating that there are still things we have yet to discover about our DNA, and how these discoveries might one day help us treat diseases.

Hi there! My name is Lumiere Parrenas and I​ am the current Vice President of MiSC. I am a fourth year student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a minor in Catholic Studies. I am interested in pediatric health and research in childhood diseases. I enjoy travelling (when it is safe to do so), musical theatre and writing!
